The Custom Design Process

Step 1: Request a quote

To begin the custom process, you can request a quote on an invitation you’ve seen here or request a quote on something you want to have designed. To achieve the most accurate quote possible, we would love for you to complete our customized questionnaire so we may gather information including, but not limited to, your event, timeline, style, requirements, and budget. After completion of the questionnaire, we will schedule a phone call with you. This is the opportunity to get to know one another, understand the nature of your project as well as your expectations. If you have any images that you would like to use as inspiration, please share them with us! We will provide you with customized quote based on the specifications discussed.

Step 2: 50% Initial Payment & Design Contract

To place an order we collect a 50% initial payment. This payment is applied toward your order total. We will also send over our design contract for you to review and e-sign.

Step 3: Complete Design Questionnaire

After your order is placed, you will be auto-emailed a design form to collect your invitation wording and specific design elements. Once this form is completed, your order will be put on our design schedule.

Step 4: Design & Proofing

You will receive a PDF proof outlining every element of your invitation suite. We are happy to provide unlimited proof revisions (keeping in mind timing of course) so that it is perfectly to your liking! If any changes in design effect the price, we will communicate this to you and add it to your remaining balance due. The overall Design & Proofing timeframe varies with each client and the number of revisions requested, but typically takes about 4-8 weeks. The proofing process is the time to review all of your wording, dates, spelling, punctuation, and design choices. It is important to review your proofs very carefully, as we print directly from the approved proof file. Once you approve your final proof, changes cannot be made. Your quantity cannot be changed either, and any additional prints needed after the approved proof will be treated as a new order. 

Step 5: Payment of Remaining Balance

Once you sign off on your final proof approval, we collect the remaining balance due and send your order into production. 

Step 6: Production

Your order will move into the production phase once the remaining balance is paid. Production time takes approximately 6 weeks. 

Step 7: Receive your Invitations

Your order will be carefully packed and shipped right to your door! For clients in the tristate area, we have local pickup available as well as door drop off (plus delivery fee).
